About the Speakers

Emily H. Blumenfeld, CPA

Emily is a seasoned tax professional with over 20 years of client experience. Emily has extensive experience in estate, gift and trust tax compliance and consulting. She primarily works with multi-generational high net worth families to manage their tax compliance and estate planning needs. Emily is a leader within her community and her profession. She uses her skills and knowledge to teach internal and external courses in estate, gift, and trust taxation, as well as serving on boards for local organizations. She is an advocate for Dean Dorton and promoting the firm’s presence within the region as well as enhancing the firm with her technical expertise.

Diana received her Bachelors in Accounting from the University of Dayton and Masters in Business Administration from Xavier University. She has over 35 years of experience. Prior to embarking on a career in public accounting she spent 6 years in industry working in the general accounting department of a local manufacturer. She worked for BKD, LLP (currently Forvis Mazars and formerly Aronowitz, Chaiken & Hardesty, LLP) and J.D. Cloud & Company, LLP (merged in with Clark, Shaefer & Hackett), large National and Local CPA firms located in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has been pleased with her choice to create a firm with her husband. Diana’s experience includes auditing and tax for small to medium sized companies, 401(k) plans and not-for-profits, as well as individual tax compliance for individuals focusing on middle income to high-net worth individuals. In addition, she has performed more than 280 business valuations and is a recognized expert in her field.

 

Diana is proud to serve on the Cincinnati Estate Planning Council Board and is a Past President. She also serves on two Finance Council Boards for both St. Vincent de Paul’s Church and Western Hills Country Club. A Fun Fact about her is that she served for more than 15 years as a Finance Officer in the United States Army Reserves.
